Our Mission

To preserve and protect the lives and assets of all those

who are in any way - in need

The Suisun Fire Protection District (SFPD) is a volunteer department that serves approximately 22% of the unincorporated area of Solano County. The department trains for and responds to all types of emergency incidents from fire and rescue calls to medical emergencies and public assists. We make every effort to respond to calls in a professional manner and take pride in how we respond.

The SFPD operates nine pieces of apparatus out of two locations. There are two pieces of apparatus at Station 32 located on Clayton Road and eight pieces of apparatus, including a boat, located at Station 33 on Jackson Street in Fairfield. Our apparatus includes two structural fire engines four wild land engines, a water tender, a mobile air unit to pressurize self contained breathing apparatus, and a rescue boat.

Our response area includes Blue Ridge Oaks west of I-80, Suisun Valley (including Twin Sisters) from the Napa County line south, Tolenas, Grizzly Island, the marsh land east of Suisun Creek and Westbound I-80 as far as Suisun Valley Road.

We also have mutual aid agreements with the other departments in Solano County and are a participant to the State of California Master Mutual Aid Plan. When requested, we respond outside of our initial response area for larger incidents. Our department has assisted other departments throughout the State of California when the State Office of Emergency Services requests it.

The SFPD is a full service department with 41 dedicated volunteers who regularly attend training sessions for all sorts of emergencies. Department members do this at their own expense and on their own time. The membership is like a large family with everyone taking pride in being able to help the community.
